Why it plays differently

Luck you can build

Rigged Fate turns chance into strategy. You decide what every spin can land on, then read the battlefield and make the most of each result.

Preparing the Rogue's skill wheel before a boss battle

Build the wheel

Every hero has a unique wheel of slots. Place skills where you want them and shape the odds before the fight begins.

A three-selector wheel resolving over the Endspire battlefield

Spin with purpose

Selectors land on your skills and landing quality decides how hard they hit. A true Miss can be rerolled while rerolls last, and Focus trades an unwanted result for Mana.

Lead three heroes

Build a party of three from a growing roster of 16 heroes. Command them all yourself or let capable AI allies take any seat.

Break the horde

Retinues of soldiers clash on a living 3D battlefield while elites, bosses and reinforcement waves test your build.

The core mechanic

Fate is a wheel. You decide what's on it.

Before every battle you arrange your heroes' skills on their wheels. In battle, each spin decides what they can do next, and a well-built wheel turns chance into a plan.

  1. Place your skills

Arrange each hero's skills on the slots of their wheel. Bigger skills claim more space, and some wheels keep empty slots that make every spin a gamble.

  2. Know your selectors

Some heroes spin a single wide selector. Others read two or three at once, then choose one landed skill or resolve them all.

  3. Land it well

Where a selector lands inside a skill decides its strength, from a weak edge hit to a critical center. Steadiness raises the floor.

  4. Bend the result

Missed everything? Spin again if the hero has a reroll left, or pass. Landed a card you want later? Keep it for the hero's next hand.

The roster

16 heroes. 16 ways to spin.

Warriors and tide-singers, cardsharps and gravekeepers. Every hero plays differently because every wheel is different.

Combat

Battles that never stand still

Automatic attacks keep the front line moving while charged wheels deliver the decisive blows. Read the fight, then make every spin count.

Wheels, cards and armies in a Frostwork Reach boss battle
  • Always in motion

Every combatant trades automatic attacks while its wheel charges. Speed decides who acts first, and the battle waits whenever you need to decide.

  • Read the enemy

Enemies reveal their chosen skill and target before they strike. Answer from your belt with a Smoke Bomb, Counterspell Scroll or Taunting Bell.

  • Elites, bosses and waves

Encounters escalate with reinforcement waves, elite trials, boss battles and cinematic introductions.

  • An army at your back

Heroes lead retinues that grow as they level, until crowds of soldiers clash across the field.
